Cogent Breeding and Ai Services (NI) have announced an enhanced working agreement to deliver improved genetics, innovation and efficiencies to dairy and beef farmers across Northern Ireland.
It builds on the success of the existing logistics and supply arrangement between the two companies and will merge 21 technician and sales roles within Ai Services with the Cogent team.
“This new approach enables a more co-ordinated and efficient approach to service delivery, ensuring farmers benefit from the combined strengths of both organisations,” says Larry Burke, CEO at Ai Services, “It will also allow Ai Services to focus more fully on the husbandry, science and data capabilities that underpin the future of the genetics industry.”
Customers will also benefit from an enhanced beef and dairy offering, adds Stuart Boothman at Cogent. “This includes access to a more diverse range of genetics, in the form of market-leading sexed semen technology, supported by advanced mating programmes and genomic testing portal.”
