Vervaet has launched the new third generation Hydro Trike self-propelled slurry and digestate applicator. It features more tank capacity, a stronger drivetrain, increased rear lift capacity, a new tyre configuration and improved cab comfort.
It is available as a three-wheeler (17m³ tank) and five-wheeler (21m³ tank), both of which are more than 1m³ larger than their predecessors.
The transmission delivers up to 45% more tractive power in the lower speed range of zero to 10km/h: From 100,000Nm to 145,000Nm – essential on hilly terrain. The rear linkage lift capacity has also increased, from 5,000 to 10,000kg, making the machine suitable for heavier implements.
It is equipped with a 530hp Mercedes MTU engine, and the cooling system is 50% larger for use in temperatures up to 50°C. The slurry system consists of a 9,000 or 13,500 litre/min Börger positive displacement pump combined with Vervaet’s Cyclone macerator, and the suction pipe diameter is increased from eight to 10in for greater capacity.
The new cabin has more room, better all-round visibility, improved sound insulation and a new user interface.
